What an extraordinary find this is Eleanor Gay (an old label) For John Wanamakers rich black velvet with a sequin marquise center medallion full length, with a matching jacket that has a intricate lapel that is made to compliment the dress even when the jacket is buttoned Crystal button on the jacket and fully lined. This gown and jacket are in remarkable condition and would make a dramatic statement for a formal winter wedding or affair CONDITION: Is excellent although there is one bead missing on the center medallion MEASUREMENTS: dress marked a size 16 (thats vintage) Shoulders 15" chest 34

Pottery scallop shell shaped dish John Wanamaker
Lovely pottery dish molded to resemble a scallop shell in a beautiful sea-green shade glaze. Perfect condition with the original John Wanamaker's department store label still in place. A large piece that could be used as a serving dish or plate in a decorative table setting. Just looking at this dish makes me think of summer at the Shore! 11 inches in diameter. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or marks. A wonderful example of the quality items that were available at department stores like Wanamaker's or Strawbridge & Clothiers. Too bad those store are no longer with us.
